"Pretty Hurts" Post-op lymphatic drainage 11/19/2026 Thursday 10-2pm

**Must have basic prior knowlegde of MLD** 

By the end of the class, students should be able to:

1. Explain lymphatic anatomy and physiology in simple clinical terms.
2. Define and locate the main lymph node regions and watersheds.
3. Describe why post-op edema happens and how lymphatic load changes.
4. Perform MLD post op on the more common procedures.
5. Modify drainage when lymph nodes have been removed or damaged.
6. Understand contraindications and red flags/Complications in post-op patients. 
7. Choose alternative drainage routes using anastomoses and watershed crossings.
8. Understand drains and our limitations as MT's.
9. Basic compression gyudelines.
