"Pretty Hurts" Post-op lymphatic drainage 11/19/2026 Thursday 10-2pm

By the end of the class, students should be able to:

1. Explain lymphatic anatomy and physiology in simple clinical terms.
2. Define and locate the main lymph node regions and watersheds.
3. Describe why post-op edema happens and how lymphatic load changes.
4. Perform a basic post-op drainage sequence safely.
5. Modify drainage when lymph nodes have been removed or damaged.
6. Understand contraindications and red flags in post-op patients.
7. Choose alternative drainage routes using anastomoses and watershed crossings.
